Follow the following steps to install P圜harm on your system from scratch: Perhaps there are two issues: NoMachine not honoring the display settings at re-connect and JetBrains picking uncooperative colors for their GUI.The procedure for installing P圜harm is as easy and similar to that of other software. I was under the impression that this was a NoMachine client bug but do note that other applications, such as Emacs, appear fine. So, my workaround is currently to toggle the “Quality” slider between the two right-most settings each time I re-connect. Moving the “Quality” slider back 1 position from the right and clicking “Done” seems to make the new settings effective and the display improves vastly again. Playing with the check boxes doesn’t appear to do anything. However, the next time I connect the Display settings in NoMachine are still set as expected but the display quality appears to have reverted back. I’ve improved the display by moving the “Quality” slider all of the way to the right (max.), using a “Resolution” of 1:1, and leaving the “Options” check boxes all unchecked.

In the Display settings for NoMachine, I’m using “Resize remote screen” (which is awesome, by the way) and I’ve played around with the options under “Change settings” a bit. I’m *guessing* that P圜harm is using some unique colors that are being compressed out on the server and rendered with some kind of dithering on the client.

It looks like there are remnants of compression or some kind of dithering on the window–most notably around the fonts. My IDE, P圜harm, doesn’t appear as “clean” as other applications in the GUI. I’m using a NoMachine 4.4.6 client on Windows 8 to view a remote Linux desktop.
